A Spartanburg woman has been charged in two incidents, including the theft of a sports drink and pork rinds from a local store, on June 29.

Tonya Michelle Gray, 40, of 107 Kimberly Lane, has been charged with strong-arm robbery, according to an arrest warrant.

The warrant states that on June 29, Gray used force or intimidation to take the drink and pork rinds from a clerk at the Dollar General store on Hayne Street.

In an unrelated incident, Gray has been charged by the Spartanburg Public Safety Department with second-degree assault and battery. According to a warrant, Gray scratched and choked the victim, and pulled out a knife during the assault.

Gray was arrested Friday and remained at the Spartanburg County Detention Facility on Sunday on a $10,000 bond. She also has a $160 bond for a Spartanburg County Magistrate Court bench warrant, according to online jail records.
